Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Perkbar, a macOS app and website operated by Mandatory Hustle Studios. By joining the waitlist or using Perkbar, you agree to them.

Who can use Perkbar

• You must be at least 16 to create an account and earn points.
• You must be at least 18 to request a cryptocurrency payout. Under 18, rewards are limited to codes such as AI credits and vouchers.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
• You may not use Perkbar if you are subject to sanctions, or located in a country where we are prohibited from providing it.

The service

Perkbar shows your clock and, when you opt into earn mode, tasteful brand messages in your Mac's notch. Viewing them earns points you can redeem for AI credits, vouchers, or cash-equivalent rewards. Earning is optional and can be turned off at any time.

Points & rewards

• Points are earned by genuinely viewing ads while the app is active, at the rate shown in the app. Points have no cash value except through the redemption options we offer.
• Rewards are subject to availability. We may change the points economy, reward catalog, or redemption rates with notice. Points you have already earned keep the redemption value they had when you earned them, so a change never devalues a balance you have built up.
• Points are personal and non-transferable. We may reverse points and suspend accounts for fraud, automation, or abuse (e.g. faking views).
• Points expire after 24 months of account inactivity. We will email you before that happens so you have the chance to redeem them.
• This is a rewards program based on activity — not a lottery, sweepstakes, or game of chance. No purchase is required and outcomes are not random.
• Rewards may be taxable where you live. Any tax on what you receive is your responsibility, not ours.

Cryptocurrency payouts

Some rewards can be paid as a stablecoin transfer to a wallet you nominate. Because these transfers cannot be undone, the following applies:

• The address you give us is your responsibility. We send to exactly the address and network you provide. A transfer to a wrong, incompatible, or inaccessible address cannot be recovered or refunded, and your points are not returned once it is sent.
• We review every payout by hand and may delay or decline one where we suspect fraud, or where paying it would breach sanctions or other law that applies to us.
• Network fees and the value of the asset when it arrives are outside our control.
• We do not hold funds for you, offer an account or wallet, and do not provide exchange, investment, or financial services of any kind.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. Unredeemed points are cancelled when an account closes and have no value after that, so redeem before you go. If we close or suspend your account for fraud or abuse, points are forfeited. If we discontinue Perkbar, we will give reasonable notice and a window to redeem what you have earned.

Advertisers

Advertisers agree that submitted ads must be lawful, truthful, and meet our quality policy. We review every ad and may reject or remove any ad at our discretion. Advertisers are billed only for validated impressions.

• Budgets are prepaid and are drawn down as validated impressions are delivered.
• Unspent budget is refundable on request, minus any payment-processing fees already incurred. Delivered impressions are not refundable.
• We do not guarantee a delivery speed or a number of impressions within any period. Delivery depends on how many people are earning at the time.
• If we reject an ad or end a campaign, any unspent budget remains available to you.
• Advertisers receive aggregate statistics only, and never personal data about users.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to game the points system, reverse engineer the service, resell access, or use Perkbar for anything unlawful. Accounts that do may be suspended or terminated.

Availability & changes

Perkbar is provided "as is" during early access. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.

Your data

What we collect and why is set out in our privacy policy. In short: we record which ad was shown, how long it was visible, the points earned, and basic anti-fraud signals. We never record your browsing, your files, or the apps you use.

Deleting your data. Email hello@perk.bar and we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days. Two things survive that, and only in a form that is no longer linked to you: anonymised impression counts an advertiser has already been billed for, and records we are required to keep for tax or fraud purposes. Deleting your account cancels any unredeemed points.

Limitation of liability

Perkbar is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mandatory Hustle Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, lost points, or lost earning opportunity.
• We are not liable for cryptocurrency sent to an address you supplied, for network fees, or for changes in the value of any asset.
• Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the value of rewards you redeemed in the previous 12 months, or 50 USD.
• Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing limits rights you have under mandatory local consumer law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mandatory Hustle Studios from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of Perkbar, or your infringement of anyone else's rights. For advertisers, this extends to the content you submit: you are responsible for holding the rights to it and for it complying with advertising, consumer, and other law in the places it is seen.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
